Celebration of the Divine Shepherdess

On January 10, parishioners and members of the community gathered for a solemn Mass and serenade in honor of the Divine Shepherdess, held at Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden, Florida. This moving liturgical and cultural event honored one of the most beloved Marian devotions of the Venezuelan community, bringing together faith, music, and tradition in a single setting.

The day began with the Holy Mass, during which attendees participated with devotion in a deeply spiritual celebration. Following the Eucharist, a Marian serenade was held in honor of the Divine Shepherdess, evoking the devotion and fervor that characterize this tradition.

The Nucleus Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Benito Liendo, had a distinguished musical participation in this gathering. The repertoire included emblematic pieces of Venezuelan music that filled the church with rhythm and emotion, such as Fuga con Pajarillo, Alma Llanera, Pasillaneando, and Venezuela. The performance of these works not only celebrated Venezuela’s rich musical heritage, but also strengthened the sense of community and cultural identity among those present.

It was a moment of unity, faith, and cultural pride, where music and devotion came together to honor the Divine Shepherdess and celebrate Venezuelan identity within the Catholic community in Florida.
